Daikin Altherma M HW — domestic-hot-water-only heat pump
Compact air-source heat-pump water heater with 200 L or 260 L tank. Ideal as a hybrid supplement to an existing CH boiler or as a standalone replacement for an electric boiler.

COP up to 3.5 (DHW only)

Plug-and-play installation
No outdoor unit. Air is drawn in and exhausted via two roof or wall openings.
Wanneer past dit product
Suits hybrid setups where the CH boiler stays in place, apartments with no outdoor space and small households (1–3 persons) where DHW dominates the energy bill.
Wanneer niet kiezen
Not the right choice if you also want to electrify the heating loop — pick a full Altherma 4 H instead. The DHW-only unit does not feed the radiators.

200 L or 260 L tank?
200 L suits 1–3 persons with normal shower behaviour. 260 L is recommended for families of 4+, baths or daily long showers.
Does the unit cool the room it sits in?
Yes — by ~3–5 °C. That is welcome in summer in a utility room but undesirable next to a living space. Plan the placement accordingly.
Does this qualify for ISDE?
Yes. DHW-only heat pumps qualify for a fixed ISDE amount of around €700 (2026 rates). Lower than a full system but still material against the purchase price.
